Soap in the mouth...

Yep, sadly I guess I am one of those moms. I did it I actually did it, I soaped Max's little mouth out and I soaped it good. Last week we had another wonderful adventure to Wallyworld (walmart) with three kids in tow. I always think oh we do this alot we can manage again and then once I get to the store I just walk head up and try to void out the noise, while thinking what was I thinking? Well this time was no different except worse! For some reason or another Max pulled a complete fit in the check out line. Of course it is in the check out line, that is where everyone just sits and stares at you as you are trying to tame the beasts. He sat there screaming and chucking things out of my basket, yelling kind words such as I HATE you I hate you!! No I really really really really really Hate you. Where did he learn I Hate you??? And why did I have like 20 people just giving me THE look! I swear I am well aware of THE look and I vow to never give THE look to any mother again. Because really Max is a good little boy. He has such a sweet heart and he is absolutely adorable. The Walmart shoppers just caught him on a napless, hungry, ornery, day. So Really is he to blame or is this mama, for even attempting a store trip when really he had nothing going for him to show that the trip would be a good one? I guess I did blame him because as soon as we got home I soaped his little mouth out and then cried with him in his bed as he were trying to get the taste out. But I will tell you what he has not said I HATE you again, so lesson learned right???? Let's hope so, because I don't know if I am strong enough to do another soaping.

I'm behind on my blog reading so I just saw this and have to say that I, too, have done the soap in the mouth thing. Peyton was the lucky recipient. I guess we'll have to share the "Mom of the Year" award this year!
