Our first broken bone!

Nope it wasn't Max!! Our crazy rowdy out of control sweet little angel baby Mia had a little accident this past month that introduced this little Hess family to a whole new experience in the medical world. We had our first broken bone. It was bound to happen at some point but I am pretty sure if we were all betting on who would be the first, we would have all guessed Mr. Max. I was out to dinner with my sis and parents and when I came home Matt said so calmly and matter of factly, "I think I broke Mia's foot"  At this point it was late and Mia was already in bed but the next day poor little Mia was wobbling/crawling around the whole house. No tears mostly just frustrated that it was taking so long to get things done and to move from point A to point B. So we took her into the Dr's and sure enough the sweet thing had broken her foot! She had to sport this massive cast for two 1/2 weeks and she was a champ! It took her a day to really figure out how to walk on it and it just broke my heart watching her hobble around here. The best part was that the next day she was dragging pillows and blankets over to the stairs to try and jump from the steps to the cushions again. (this was how her foot was broken in the first place. I am guessing the first time she just missed the pile??) I took the pillows and told her no and she just kept saying, "Jump Jump it's fun!!" I guess lesson not learned!!! Maybe next time!

So I read this post and was like, that is so sad, a tiny little girl with this big old cast! Then a few hours later Marley fell off our couch and broke her arm! I was like are ya kidding me! Maybe I shouldn't read your blog, I don't know what will happen next:)

So let me get this straight. Matt thought he broke his daughter's foot and instead of taking her to InstaCare he waited for you to come home? What a goober! I'm just glad she can still wear her leggings :)

She's showing me her cast. And wiggling Her toes, I want to squirt inside her cast and let her move her toes all over my fat rolls.
