Kindergarten

Ohhh Madi!! You did it you went and left me for that giant yellow bus!!! I can't believe my baby is a little school girl!! It is so weird to me! But I am loving it. It is soooo time and she loves it to! We started out a little rough those first couple of weeks really did her in! She was so excited to go to school every morning and to ride that bus but by Friday after school the poor thing was just exhausted!!! She would come home in tears and ornery as ever!! In fact one night after she had been grounded to her room for pulling another fit we sat and talked and she cried and cried and said, "Mom I am sorry I have been so mean it is just that life is so hard for me right now" I about died and thought to myself oh honey you just wait! But I think she has finally adjusted and I am starting to get my old sweet Madi back. Except this Madi seems a little bit older and wiser! :)

A couple days before school started madi wanted to have a starting kindergarten party and she invited several of our neighbor friends over. They were so cute, before they all left we were talking about what they were most excited for. As I asked each kid they all stated the bus. The very last little girl yelled THE BUS BECAUSE WE DON"T HAVE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS!! and they all started screaming and cheering! It was hilarious. And her teacher really does compete with that bus. Madi loves it! We can not miss that bus or else she has a complete melt down. One day she was with her grandma in the morning and Grandma was just going to drop her off at school and when Madi realized that she didn't get to ride the bus she about had a heart attack. As I was talking to her about what was going on she said, "mom the bus is my favorite part that is where we get to talk and laugh and trade silly bands. School is the boring part."

But not too boring Madi is loving learning to read. They had kindergarten books to pass off and she was the third one in her class to do it. She loves bringing home her reading books and whizzing right through them and she loves computer time. I feel like we have started a whole new chapter in our home and it is a blast!

I may or may not have followed that bus to every stop that day and then even to the school just to make sure my baby got there safely. I think I am normal????
Hey moo remember that cute boy Drew Patterson???? I believe my dear that he was your first crush!!!

Madi and Livi one of Mad's best friends.

Welcome back to the world of blogging- we have missed you :). Tell Matt to watch out. Madi is just one of the most beautiful 6 year olds I know. She's going to be a heart breaker for sure.
