Ready for Kindergarten

Well She's ready for kindergarten holy canoli!! I can't believe my baby is starting school this fall. It is crazy to me. Well, that's kind of a lie. She is almost six so I feel like it's time. She wishes so badly she would have gone last year so it's kind of like we have been talking about it for way too long. But this last May she officially graduated from preschool and she is ready to go! Madi LOVES learning. She loves to ask questions and to learn anything she can. She loves to be told stories, fairy tales, Daddy tales, and even history tales, she loves the Anne Frank story and asks me if we can read her journal. ( I told her we will wait for that one!) She is really picking up on reading and spelling and gets really frusterated that she can't read whole books. She has got the three letter words and some four letter words down but it frusterates her to death that it takes her so long to sound out each word! I think the two things that she is most excited for is to learn to read and to ride that dang school bus! Why does that bus scare me so??? I swear for the first month of school I will be following it to and from school.
My 5 year old Baby!

Madi's preschool teacher was Mrs. Lisa and Madi absolutely adored her. She had such a fun year with lots of parties and field trips. She loved the spooky hill golfing in her costume, the Thaksgiving Feast, the trip to the shoe maker and voting booths, being mary in the Nativity program at the old folks home, the Valentines dance where she got to dance with Sean!! Her green party, talent show, watching baby chicks hatch and paint, Saving money to do a sub for Santa, trips to the park, animal shelter, the never ending show and tells that took us hours to decide what to take! She loved learning about recycling, manner magic, and stranger danger, and the list goes on and on! We luckily had a fantastic preschool year. I am so glad she had such a positive learning experience so she can contiune to look forward to learning and growing at school. Although it scares matt and I to death that our baby is about to begin school we are both so excited for her and so excited for all of the many memories and experiences that are coming her way. We think that she will just thrive and enjoy every aspect there.

She takes her parts pretty seriously!!
