It's all about your tude dude!

Dear Kids:

I hope so badly that you are those kind of people who always have a smile on your face. Don't get me wrong there are going to be bad days and lots of them. There are going to be days where all that you want to do is (hopefully call me! ) and just stay in jammies all day and maybe even cry a little. There are going to be times where you are going to have to go the extra mile and maybe do things that you'd rather not be doing. There are going to be days that just plain STINK! And that is all ok, it is all part of life and that is how we grow and learn. But I hope that one of the many lessons that you learn from me is that your attitude will affect everything that you do. I consider myself a pretty positive person, but I am definitly learning the importance of a good attitude and of putting a smile on this face of mine no matter what. I can't stand grumpy people! I can't stand "Debbie Downers!!" and I can't stand Negativity. Life is what you make it. You can either moan and groan about every little thing that may not be the way that you do things or you can be excited to try something new or to learn what ever lesson is coming your way. I am learning that you have a choice. Every morning you get to wake up and you get to decide if that day will be a good one or not. You get to decide if you are going to make the best of every situation or if you are going to sit back like a spoiled kid and mope in your bitterness. For me I am chosing from here on out to be happy! I am choosing to Live and to Love! I have a few things that I am working on and it is only the end of day one, but dang it feels good!

O.K. so I don't know what made you write that, but it is exactly what I needed to read today! We had a rough morning getting Marley off to school, and I know that it is 100% my mood that ruined the morning. Thanks for reminding me to keep a smile on my face (even when it's really hard!)

I needed to read that, too! So, thanks for putting it out there! Our kids mirror our attitudes (at least mine does!) so I have to remember to always put a smile on my face!
