He's gotta be cute!
Matt and I really wanted to Have a specialist take a look at max and have him tested to see how severe his asthma is and in Matt's case to see if he really even had it. So last week we took him to a three hour appointment at Primary Children's. And what a little stud Max was. Although the doctors and nurses poked and prodded Max was able to hold his ground and let them know who was boss. At first he didn't want to allow any docs in the room as they entered he would just look at them and say go away! Go out! Out mom! Then after being bribed with spider man stickers he warmed up and was everyones buddy. He gave all of the nursing staff and doctors knuckles and was in better spirits. The doctor had us do chest X rays, a sweat test , and blood work. My poor little man had no idea that that day he was going to be bugged so much. But he did amazing. He sat in the chairs ordering the nurses to hold his stickers, take on and off his bandages, and blow bubbles. After the nurse drew his blood he just sobbed and hugged me and said over and over she mean mom she mean! Every where we went in the hospital people just giggled and watched our little dude. We were told twenty times how cute he was and I must say that I agree! I couldn't help but feel so blessed that we were only there for testing and for something so minor as asthma. My heart ached for all of those parents there, who (in my eyes) were probably just wishing that there child could be hopping down the hall pretend fighting. We are so blessed and so thankful for ours and our children's health . So far all the tests are coming back normal and we are just waiting for the results on one more. He was diagnosed with asthma but it is a very mild case and we have a prescription and a inhaler for the just in case situations that usually only happen in the spring.
