sigh

I just got back from girls' camp, and was so glad to be home. There is nothing that I love more then being outdoors smelling that fresh air, listening to the water and animals and just being outside. I absolutely love being that close to the stars and looking at the world as a piece of art carefully painted on a giant canvas. I love the peace and quiet and the few days of being free from stinky diapers and whinny kids! (However, due to the milk that fills my boobs every 4 hours I did end up bringing one child with me. Which I completely enjoyed and she did amazing!) While up at camp I was able to do a lot of thinking and contemplating and I was just overwhelmed with how happy I am of where I am at in my life and how much I love my cute hubby and my three babies! So of course on Wednesday afternoon I was anticipating seeing them. The reunion was better then I could imagine Madi came bolting down the sidewalk and gave me a huge hug and after a few seconds Max ran up and wouldn't let go of me too. I realized how much I had missed them and couldn't wait to just hold them and love them. That lasted for about oh I'd say 3 hours, then we were back to stinky whinny kids. Max had a fever of 104.He was up all night moaning and groaning. So today I had to take him to the Dr's hoping it wasn't that blasted swine flu. The first doc tried to convince me that he was sick because he hadn't had a good meal in a couple of days I quickly shot that down and the the second doc swabbed him and confirmed that he had type A flu whatever that means! So he's sick and I am back into mom mode. Wondering how I can get girl's camp next year to be two weeks long at a beach in Hawaii! Any suggestions?

Just between you and me type A and swine are the same thing. Docs aren't telling people that because they don't want mass hysteria. It really is OK though. I don't know if they told you this but it is contagious for 7days. That has been our biggest concern, we didn't want to spread it any more. Liesl got it after Erika, hers wasn't near as bad. He will be OK.

K Bob you really have me freaked out now! Only because last night I saw on tv that the cases of peopel dying with swine flu the majority of them have had asthma!! Thanks a lot!! J/k he is already doing better the fever is gone and he is getting back to my old Max. The docs did say he was contagious for 7 days so we are trying to keep him away from everyone but I guess only time will tell. Just so you know I already have a call into my doctors office though and am waiting for a call back!! DANG those pigs!!!

I'm so sorry Max was so sick! That's the worst! But I do agree with you about girls camp next year...Maybe we should do a leaders retreat instead.
