The Hundred Dresses

I am so excited a gal in my ward is putting together a mother daughter book club. Our first book was The Hundred Dresses. So I went and bought it today (kind of late because I have girl's camp next week and the actual meeting is next week) But I thought we'd give it a shot. Mad and I sat out in the backyard tonight snuggled up in a blanket and read the whole thing through! She loved it! I wondered how she would do sense it is not a picture book but the 82 pages kept her attention the whole time. I would try to stop a couple of times telling her we could read more tomorrow but she was so into it she didn't want to stop. Madi has always loved reading ever sense she was Mia's age. I remember thinking when she was born that I was going to be one of those "good" mom's and make sure I read to her every single day. I would read everything to her, in fact I remember sitting on our giant bean bag reading Shel Silverstein poetry and she was like 6 months old!! (crazy!! how did I find the time!!) But she loved it and she always has. Then there is Max he can't sit still for two minutes. Never has had any interest in a single book and still doesn't unless it means that bedtime will be prolonged. Kind of funny how different kids are. Anyways if anyone is looking for a good book to read with their daughter I loved this book it was so cute, and thought provoking.

That is neat. I am in a book club and love it. Brooklynn is the same I have always read to her and she loves it. Cameron NEVER has since he started moving around. That is great that she loves to snuggle and read.
