Asthma

Last week I took my little Max man in for his two year old check up. When Max was a baby we were told that he had a mild form of asthma and that he would probably grow out of it. So at this last check up I was asking the doctor about it and trying to figure out if he did indeed have asthma or what. The doc says with all of his symptoms that it is asthma and that he probably won't grow out of it. I know that this is a very minor thing to be dealing with but I just started crying when the doc told me this. I think every mother wants their child to be 100% perfect and not have a thing wrong with them. I hate to think of my little rambunctious kid struggling for breath as he is playing tag or football. The poor thing is always coughing and as he is running from trampoline to trampoline in our backyards he just huffs and puffs! So for now we have a nebulizer and we give him breathing treatments as needed, One day we will get him an inhaler when he is a little bit older. But it just breaks my heart! I can't imagine what other mothers with really sick children are feeling. Other then his asthma Max is doing great. He is right on track with everything and the doctor assured me that all little boys are a little rowdy and crazy. Max is our little go getter he is relentless and will not back down. Hopefully his strong will and energy will serve him well in life!! Oh and he is in the 25th percentile for his heighth and the 75th for his weight! That's my boy short and fat!!!

I don't think it matters if it's a big thing or small thing, if your child isn't 100% OK it makes you feel sick inside. Did you know that Erika and I both have asthma? I think it must be a Jones thing. Mine isn't that bad but Erika has to have an inhaler with her when she does sports. It's OK though, she says it makes her feel "special"!!! haha :) You're such a good mom and little(?) Maxi-boy will grow up to be the stud that he was meant to be!!

Poor guy. That is so sad that he has a hard time breathing. But I love that he is short and fat. He is one cute guy.

I can relate with ya...not with asthma but with Ethan's eyes. I feel like it's never ending and am always wondering if we are going to be able to get them fixed!! Max is so cute and I bet when he gets older it will just be another thing to him!

That is so sad. I saw him that time at your house and he was struggling to breath. So hard. I am sorry. Brooklynn seems to just get her asthma in the winter when she gets a cough. Good luck, he is a tough little guy.

I'm sorry Brandi, I hate when little kids aren't 100% healthy...I think it's a big deal to all Mom's whether it's something small or big. I know he'll still be able to be a big awesome football player or whatever he wants to be, he's a stud!

-K-So random question for you!! Do you remember the name of the guy that you gave Jeff and I to paint our house? My friend has been waiting for years to have her husband paint her house and she is fed up with waiting. I told her I got a really good deal and i would try and find his name and number. Let me know if you have a better memory than mine and actually know it. Thanks Brandi! You rock!

That's a hard thing. I'm sure with a mom like you he'll be able to do just fine. I wish him the best!
