Some things I don't want to forget.

Madi's bed time prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this day, thank you for my friends, thank you for letting me play all day. Please bless my family that we can all have sweet dreams. Please bless me that I can dream of Mermaids. Bless my daddy that he can drive to work safe and drive home safe. But please let me dream about mermaids. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Modesty taught by a 4 year old:

We have the cutest little neighbor boy named Trevor. He is seriously a doll! So sweet and so well mannered. Well Madi plays with him quite a bit. Yesterday Madi had him and another little girl over. they were all playing in the toy room and I was doing odd jobs around the house when I walked out and saw Trev sitting on the stairs with his arm on his eyes. I asked him what was wrong and he said they don't have enough clothes on. I kind of laughed and then thought you know what you are right. I went into the room and looked at mad's ballet tutus and leotards we wrapped a shawl around her shoulders and I thought we were ok, so I showed madi to him and asked if that was better and he shook his head and said nope too short. She needs some shorts on or pants on. I tried to convince the girls to add some layers but they did not like that idea so little Trevor sat with his arm around his face and finally stood up and said I better go play with the boys!!! What a sweet kid! He has my vote for a future son in law!!

Oh my heck! That Trevor story is the cutest thing I've ever heard. If you don't care I'm going to copy that and use it. I may even put it on my blog. His parents must be amazing to be teaching him those things already. I didn't realize until I had sons exactly "why" modeesty is so important. I thought it was just to be respectful to our body. I guess I was an innocent girl!!! Definately put Trevor down as the first boy on your son-in-law list.

I love these anecdotes. I love how you update on the cute things your kids say and do. I would probably remember better if I did that.
