Magic Penny

Madi has this "magic penny" that she has been carrying around with her. She truly believes that it is magical and I will catch her whispering wishes to it. It is hilarious. I have heard her wish for things like this: please let the sun come out and there not be a tornado, please let this lock on the back door open so I can go out and play, please let brother find his shoes really fast so we can go on a walk, please let my mom let me have a cookie for lunch and several other funny wishes!! As these wishes come true she gets so excited! She also has a very vivid imagination and she believes everything we tell her. Today we had a picnic in her playhouse because it was too windy outside, we were sitting in the upstairs and I could tell she was a little scared because the wind was pretty loud. I told her that I wondered if our playhouse was going to be picked up and blown away to Oz she was so worried she finally peeked through the crack and said, "oh mom we are not in the wizard of Oz we are still in our back yard, do you know why? Because we built our house upon a rock!" Then she whispered to her penny please don't let our house blow away. I love her imagination! She is so darn cute!
