My sweet little Madi girl

As I mentioned before Matt and I's anniversary was on Sunday. Usually we try and go stay the night somewhere or we go out to a really fancy restaurant. This year was a little different. We really have been trying to save our moola with Christmas coming and a third mouth to feed so we had this coupon to the Warehouse Steakhouse in Ogden. When we pulled up we both just laughed because it looked like a dump. But when we were dating we would drive all over the valley looking for dumps to eat at. So it was kind of fun and it brought back a lot of memories and surprisingly it was Delicious!! After dinner we went and saw a movie which sadly is a novelty for a young couple with two children! But it was all fun just to be out together and to enjoy each other's company. So on Sunday our actual anniversary we spent it together as a family. We went to church and then came home and snuggled and slept. Then we woke up and Matt and Madi made cookies and hot chocolate while I put the lights on our Christmas tree. Then we sat around the tree and talked about our favorite Christmases. We decided this year that before we could put up an ornament that as you were putting one on the tree you had to say one thing that you loved about each person in our family. Madi just loved this idea. I was thinking that we would each take turns and then we would just go to town and get the tree decorated but mad had different plans. For every single ornament that was hung she made us tell a reason why we loved a member of the fam. She would try and help by telling us what about that I am beautiful, or what about that I am kind. When it was her turn she would say over and over again "I just love you guys so much. You guys are just so nice to me. you always make me so happy." It was truly a sweet tender moment for our family. And probably one of the best anniversaries we have had. This year our anniversary was more focused on us as a family unit rather then Matt and I as a couple and I loved every minute of it!
