4th of July

The fourth of July is my favorite holiday! I love it!! This year was crazy, we had a very busy weekend but it was a blast. It all started Thursday morning with a neighborhood parade. The kids decorated their bikes or scooters and met in front of our house. We rode around the block and ended at the park for some good old otter pops! Madi's legs got tired way too fast, but I think that she had fun!
Later that night some of our neighbors invited us over to a barbecue for some great food and fireworks! There were kids everywhere and dirty dirty black feet! Madi is our little party girl she loves to get together with anyone so she enjoyed just running free and playing with all of the kids. Max enjoyed his first firework show he got so excited and just watched in awe!
The main thing that sold Matt and I into moving to Kaysville was the community. As we drove through our neighborhood and the surrounding neighborhoods there was such a family feel and we loved it. Now after living here for almost two years it has definitely lived up to our expectations. Every holiday there is all kinds of community events that are so much fun for families. At Easter there was a huge egg hunt with tons of candy and big stuffed animals for all of the kids. Christmas time there is a light parade at night, on Main street there is a little desert shop that sells 25 cent ice cream cones on Monday nights, we just love the whole town. But our favorite thing that we have discovered is the Kaysville 4th of July parade. It is seriously the coolest parade that we have ever been to. The floats throw out tons of candy and Popsicles, necklaces, flags, teddy bears everything, but the best part is at the very end the whole city gets into a HUGE water fight. Everyone brings water balloons, squirt guns, spray bottles, buckets, anything that they can and then the last half of the parade is landscaping trucks, fire trucks, trailers with kids throwing balloons and squirting water guns. The whole city goes crazy attacking everyone. We leave just drenched and it is so much fun!

To top our 4th of July off Matt bought us Stadium of Fire tickets months ago. This year the bands were Miley Cyrus and the Blue Man Group so we had been counting down the days until this event. We accidentally bought an extra ticket so we gave it to my niece Bay. The whole way down to Provo Madi and Bailey were singing Hannah songs and coloring Hannah signs to put in our windows. Matt's family also bought tickets so they met us up there we ate at the Brick Oven and then went to the show. It was awesome! At the beginning of the show they had parachute rs jump out of an airplane and Madi was fascinated by them, she told me that she thought they could do that because they were super man!! The whole day was so much fun! What an awesome way to celebrate our Independence!

Brandi (formerly Banks)!!!! How are you? Maybe if you don't remember me, you remember back in ninth grade when you stuck maxi pads to my suit coat... Those were the days. Looks like you've got quite a great family, good for you!

That is one of my favorite memories which includes you and Jill during The Sound of Music! You snuck into my dressing room and stuck maxis all over the suit coat that I wore during one scene. It was comical... I'm in Boston fulfilling my dream of becoming a pharmacist and having the time of my life!! I have one more year of school left, can't wait to be done. Where are you guys living these days?? I'm glad Jill told me about your blog, cause I found so many peoples blogs that I haven't seen or talked to in ages, its so fun to see how people turn out and how life changes!

Hey Brandi! I see Mike ratted me out on blog stalking! It's funny how one blog will lead you to another blog, to another, and so on. I love reading about your cute little family! Congrats on baby #3! That's exciting! And I can't believe you don't remember the maxi pad incident. Mike will never let me live that down.
