I cannot believe that little Max is turning one on Sunday. Time flies when you have kids. Happy Birthday Max! This post is definitly more for him then any of you but feel free to read it! So Max's original due date was April 26th but I just new that Max was a good boy and that he was going to come early so I wouldn't have to endure the pains of pregnancy any longer. The week before I had Max I kept telling Matt oh honey any day now I am going to have this baby, I can feel it. He would tell me that I was crazy and then I would go to the doctors and she would confirm that I was crazy because I Hadn't dialated and I wasn't efaced I was so mad!! Well Max, the little bugger sat right on a nerve in my back, so I was barely walking, I looked ridiculous. Seriously the night before I went into labor I was limping down my street I had two people stop and ask me if I needed a ride home and I refused because I was trying to put myself into labor. Low and behold it worked because about 6 hours later I was laying in bed when my water broke. I woke Matt up and told him He told me to go back to sleep because I probablly just peed my pants. And then the contractions came. Matt was just taking his sweet time, he decided he need an ironed shirt for this occasion and I just sat there patiently waiting. (with Madi I was in labor for like 15 hours so we thought we had all of the time in the world) So we got in the car and started driving to the hospital I was so scared. I am deathly afraid of pain and the unkown so it was little nerve racking for me. As we were driving Matt said that we should pull over and say a prayer. He tells me this in the middle of a contraction and I told him to forget it! Right than the train signals go down and the worlds longest train decids to cut us off. So we sat there and prayed together and felt the joy and excitement of another addition to our little family. As we were walking into the hospital my water broke the rest of the way. It was just like the movies. It gushed everywhere and I freaked completely out. Matt was laughing so hard and I was so embarrassed. Then they took me in and finally gave me that heavenly epidural, and within the hour I had my little guy. With madi I had to push for like an hour and half so when the doctor came in to start pushing I told him to be prepared because last time it took forever. Two pushes later he was out. The whole thing was awesome. Max came out swollen and huge, I'm not gonna lie at first Matt and I were a little scared, he was really swollen and wasn't the cutest thing!! ( can a parent say that about their baby?) But an hour later when the swelling went down he was absolutely perfect. He had thick dark hair and huge feet and hands. He immediatley started nursing which was so different from my experience with Madi.
Madi was also so excited Aunt Holli had bought her a big sister shirt and she was so excited to hold her baby brother and show him off to all of our friends and family. We ended up leaving the hospital the next day I thought it was a little early but Matt swore he would take care of me at home and that we would be more comfortable in our ownbeds and he was right. He was so excited to have his little boy and his future fishing buddy. He took care of me and our two kiddies and it was all just such a great experience.
From day one Max has always been a good baby. He hardly ever cries unless he is hungry, and when he is hungry you better watch out because he will let you know. At first Matt and I would laugh because he started out not crying but grunting or growling when he was mad. And now he just screams this high pitch scream, Matt calls it is Warrior yell. Max has such a sweet smile and the biggest eyes that just light up his whole face. He makes everyone feel so special and everyone thinks that Max loves them the best because he will give a smile to anyone who even looks at him. He melts my heart. He is just one of those babies that everyone hopes to have. He has brought so much happiness and joy into our lives. Happy Birthday Buddy!
