Chicago 3 day!

Chicago was amazing!! I have never had such a mix of emotions!!! I have never laughed so hard, cried so hard, or walked so much in my life. My whole body was aching but it was worth every minute of it. We got there Thursday morning and we went to Navy Pierre we took a boat tour and walked around the city. The city was huge and it was amazing I am begging Matthew to move us there. Friday morning we woke up bright and early and went to meet our team. Our team name was Got Boobs? there was probably 10 of us and you would be amazed by the different ages and shapes we all were. There were 2200 walkers total men and women. The ages ranged from 18 year olds to 70 year olds and 100 pounders to 300 pounders. It was amazing! I have never met nicer people. Everyone was looking out for each other and we were all walking for the cause. Friday we walked 22 miles and I thought I would die. My whole body was aching I honestly thought I would never be able to walk again. But Saturday morning I was up by 6:00 AM and I was out walking the streets of Chicago yet again. This day we realized that the faster we walked the faster we would get done and the sooner we could rest and get ready for day three. We finished in the top 20 on Saturday which was awesome because it gave us time at camp to shower longer visit the Chiropractor and physical therapist and sit in the foot massage tent for hours. Just when I thought that I could maybe walk again Summer and I started a great big dance party. At first everyone looked at us like we were crazy and then slowly people limped their way up to the dance floor to join in on the fun. Nobody could believe that we both had two kids waiting for us at home and they just kept telling us that we were the coolest mom's ever!! Saturday night at about 3:00 AM we were awoken by a huge lightening storm Summer and I just stared at each other and laughed because we were all evacuated to a nearby college so no one would get struck as we were walking to safety you couldn't help laughing because nobody could walk, everyone was limping and moaning because at this point we had walked nearly 46 miles. Sunday we started out again and crossed the finish line at around noon. As I crossed the line I just started crying. There were crowds there cheering you on and thanking you for everything. I went straight to the medical tent had them ice me up and stretch me out and then headed right over to the foot massage tent. For closing ceremonies all of the walkers walked in holding hands while literally 1000's of people cheered us on, and then right behind us breast cancer survivors (who also walked with us) came walking through holding flags. Everyone was crying as we watched these young mothers and old women walk through as they celebrated their lives and the reality of how scary this disease is. I looked around and everyone had one shoe off and was holding their shoe up in the air towards the survivors. I can't even explain the emotions I felt on this journey it was absolutely amazing and although it was one of the hardest things I have ever done (yes even harder then giving birth to little Max) I can not wait to do it again next year!! SO Thank you to all of you who supported me you are all amazing. With your help the Chicago walk raised over 5.6 million dollars. I am truly doing it again next year maybe in Seattle, Boston, or DC so if anyone wants to join my team let me know. I love you all!!Brandi

It sounds awesome, Brandi! I would THINK about doing it...I don't know if I could handle it though.
