Can't sleep!

I have  had one of those Christmas years where I am excited for it and we have been enjoying the season but yet I just kind of keep thinking it's just another day, and soon life will be back to normal. I love celebrating with the kids and trying to keep the season full of magic and excitment but the past few days I have just kind of felt blah about it all. Then tonight, just now as madi has been lying in bed for an hour she yells down to me, "Mom, I can't sleep how did you sleep when you were a kid and it was Christmas time!" I just had to smile and it made me remember how fun this time of year is as a kid! I am so glad that I had a mom who always celebrated with us and always made the holidays so special. We were always passing out gifts, caroling, serving, decorating our rooms, or just being together as a family. Some times these things take up sooo much time and can be very stressful. But I loved them, and I know my kids love them!!! I hope I can always remember that Can't sleep feeling. Oh to be a kid again!!!
